She works collaboratively, is responsive and listens to all of my ideas, helping me weed out the not so great ideas. The end product and look of a space is always beautiful, practical and perfectly executed. She’s great at finding ways to utilize space efficiently and selecting beautiful fabrics and lighting. “Design Milieu was an excellent firm to work with on the redesign of the office in our 125 year old Victorian. Karen Bengel, the owner, took a very odd layout and revamped it in a way that's beautiful and versatile. It was exceedingly easy to work with Karen since she truly took into account our needs and preferences. The end result was a beautiful space that works for our family. I would highly recommend Design Milieu to anyone looking for a designer.”

“Ms. Saum provided us with ideas that were creative and innovative. Her plans included things that we never would have considered. Her selections (countertops, fixtures, appliances and floor coverings) included a range of price points from which to choose. The results were stunning! With Ms. Saum's help, I am confident that she saved us from making costly mistakes. Her workmen (electricians, plumbers, painters, tile and carpet installers) were all professional and did an excellent job as well.”

“I hired Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors to create a new look for our den. We needed new furnishings, accessories, lighting, and a fresh coat of paint. We are a family of four and we needed a timeless space to relax after busy work and school days. To my surprise the project turned out better than expected. They provided the electrician to come and replace my old hanging chandelier. The painters were on time and clean. After proposing a sofa that I was not 100% sold on, I went against my feelings to let them piece the room together and I could not have been happier with the selections. Thanks again!”

“Haus Interior Design is amazing! Remodeling is a stressful process but Kirsten Kaplan kept us sane! Not only does she have an amazing eye for design detail, but she worked extremely well with our subcontractors making sure our remodel timeline and expectations were met. We did a full kitchen renovation and Kirsten was instrumental in helping us choose everything from the hardwood floors to the cabinet hardware. Not only was she able to find us some amazing grasscloth for a fabulous focal wall, she knew the right people to call for a flawless install. The result is one amazing kitchen!”

Carol was great! She knew I was overwhelmed and sat down with me to understand my tastes and what I wanted to do. She did not rush me but gently kept me moving forward.
