“Custom Cabinets. Mike built an amazing custom wardrobe for our bedroom and it is just beautiful. Mike was so easy to work with and designed the unit to meet our storage and design needs all within our budget. We are now contemplating having a Entertainment Center w/ Shelving built to house our TV and electronics in our family room. Custom pieces are fairly expensive, but they add so much value to the home and solve so many storage and design issues. We are very happy with the results.”

“Hands down the best tradesmen we dealt with on our Kitchen addition. Chip and Justin design and construct the most beautiful and reasonably priced cabinets in Connecticut. These guys should be the model of for others dealing with and providing the 'homeowner" with what they expect and pay for. Don't believe me, have them do your cabinets and report back if your not thrilled with the final product, we were!!! Best, JK (CT)”

“Doing business with Don & Chris over the past several years has been both a distinct privilege and a joy. From the outset they worked closely with our architect and builder to create, install and maintain magnificent custom cabinetry and furniture that transcends mere craftsmanship and enters the realm of artistry. We cannot imagine two more ethical, hardworking or dedicated people. Theirs is very much a family business and part of the pleasure of working with Don, Chris and Cindy has been the chance to interact with this wonderful family. From planning, the selection of magnificent woods, meticulous construction and custom installation, through continued follow up, coming to our home to make complimentary minor adjustments many years later, we cannot imagine more attention to detail, unfailing kindness and consideration. “Ed Konopka of Edko Cabinets designed, and he and his team built, a series of custom kitchen cabinets that are beyond what we could have envisioned. The design phase was a series of meetings discussing thoughts and reviewing renderings. Refinements were made until we were satisfied that this was what we wanted. Throughout this process, Ed offered his advice based on his years of experience, ideas that we had not considered, suggestions to offer us greater versatility and ease of use, along with an easy going personality that made the process actually fun and a creative experience for us all (at least that is the way he made us feel). The tear out was done in a day and the installation in two. How measurements can be taken in my home and over 25 connecting cabinets and drawers built and then installed with less than an eighth of an inch to the end of a wall is amazing to us. Ed’s work is beautiful. The attention to detail, finishing, & crown molding (which he cut on site by eye without a calculator or other technical instrument in sight and his suggestions all look and more importantly work like a fine watch. As you might suspect, this review was a pleasure to write. I cannot suggest Ed Konopka and Edko Cabinets more strongly.”

They are neat, professional, courteous and caring people who took great pains to keep our house clean during the process and provide exemplary service. They built and installed our kitchen cabinets, our bathroom cabinets and bathtub panel in addition to crown molding. “Our 1930s center hall New England colonial was sorely in need of a new kitchen. We had lots of ideas, plenty of pictures and no experience in kitchen design. We are so glad we hired Maple Tree Cabinetmakers. Josh and his brother delivered more than we imagined, on time and within budget! We told Josh what we liked and disliked in our kitchen, he listened, really listened, and came up with a design that embodied and greatly improved on our vision. For example, Josh suggested a walnut counter top for the breakfast room hutch, reused the original bin pulls,hinges and glass front doors. The original hutch had six small drawers just under the counter. Josh made 3 wide, much more useful drawers, yet faced them so it looks like 6 small drawers still! Love it! We enclosed the stoop out side the back door, creating a mudroom. Josh built a bead board cubby, with walnut bench, and shelves above. A huge improvement for a family with a dog! Josh also suggested curved brackets at the end of the cabinet runs,; enclosing the refrigerator with panels that match the cabinetry; and he replaced the old built in ironing board with a shallow cupboard for keys, a walnut counter with USB ports for a charging station and two shelves below for old fashioned cook books.We could not be more pleased with our Maple Tree Cabinetmakers Custom Cabinets and would hire them again in a nano-second!”

“Two things mark Jim's work. Impeccable workmanship and remarkable taste. We have given him four projects, none of which were of simple design and construction, and the result has always been several steps beyond the original concept. His ability to understand the scope of the piece, and the need, and then take it to another level is, to me who knows something about craftsmanship, his gift. We only had to wait a few weeks for completion on one piece, and he never came in over budget. Jim completed four pieces for us, the first of which began in 1995. His work was such that we installed three more of Jim's creations in our house and, when we buy the brownstone this fall we will return to Jim's drawing board for help”
