“After completing my new home in N Scottsdale approx 4 years ago, the initial landscape design and plant material (designed and installed by different landscape architect) needed a makeover. It was "flat" and not commensurate with the design of my home and was way below the potential of what and how the landscape should interact with indoor/outdoor living in the Sonoran desert. There were great parts of my existing landscape - trees, irrigated pots, hardscape, fountains and pool, but many existing plantings were the wrong species based on sun and shade, scale and color; and moreover, the "sense of arrival" to my home was missing "drama." Russ and his team took an inventory of existing, prepared a detailed enhancement plan and cost proposal. The outcome was AMAZING and EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! The landscape today still performs fantastic and looks even better as the plantings are maturing and blooming.”

“Enlarge our front yard to accommodate three Labradors. Replaced main area of gravel with top-of-the-line artificial turf and flagstone. Extended stucco walls, re-hung front gates, built in planters and niches in wall, entire new landscaping around walls. Installed new landscape lighting.”

“Working with Shelly Abbott has been a super experience on two fronts. She is excellent at bringing home owners into the design process, capturing and enhancing each person’s desired moods or viewscapes. We had an unrealistically long wish list of cacti and flowering desert plants. Shelly incorporated them all into the final product, yielding different but integrated panoramas for each aspect of the house. Second, she produced a yard that is vibrantly alive every month of the year. A profusion of flowers evolves through the seasons, with new little pleasures popping out all the time. As a result, we have humming birds and butterflies year ‘round, flocks of birds, even a visiting bobcat. Shelly’s landscape makes outdoor living focused around our veranda a true joy.”

“I did a major backyard remodel and used the services of Nanette Injeski Land Design LLC to draw up plans for the remodel. Nanette was a life saver is this major remodel. I am not very good in coming up with ideas and Nanette was excellent in listening to what I envisioned and putting it on paper. She took care of everything, including dealing with the contractor. She had all kinds of ideas and brought the sample to me. If there were any problems at all with the contractor, Nanette took care of it. She was always checking in with me to see if I was happy and if there were any issues. I would definitely recommend her and use her again.”

“I am always amazed at the level of creativity and originality Jesse puts into each of his projects. As a retired award winning landscape designer and contractor, I know all to well that the majority of landscapers use the same concepts and plants repeatedly because it is fast and easy. They also can't maintain 5-star ratings consistently, but Desert Crest has for years. There are a lot of different reasons I highly recommend hiring this company to do your landscaping. Phoenix and Scottsdale landscaping can be a hassle. From finding a landscape designer who 'gets it' to delayed completion due to waiting on subcontractors with various specialties needed to finish the job. Here it all goes like clockwork because they are licensed and skilled to do the work themselves. And they do it beautifully every time.
