“We have worked with Aran and his team for several years to completely transform our landscape. Beginning with a very difficult and technical remodeling of our front entrance masonry and driveway that required extensive approvals from town boards and the historical commission. The new approach to the house created a beautiful and elegant approach to the house and was further enhanced with abundant plantings and lighting. We also worked with LandForm partners to remodel, or rather completely rebuild our second story deck, which came out beautifully. We also hired the firm to create a masterplan and richly planted landscape for our vacation home. We continue to invite Aran and the team back year after year to tackle new projects and continue to beautify our land.”

“I wanted a unique Brooklyn backyard that was striking and pleasing. Something that maximized its size, shape, sun and shade. I believe that was accomplished to the max. FireDean was always up front with time and cost. He provided a blueprint and photoshop picture of the finished garden and an itemized list of all plants, material and labor costs. Any changes were agreed upon beforehand. The stonework took a little longer than expected because of his attention to detail. Our back and forth communication was always prompt and complete. I trust FireDean to always do excellent work. He prides himself on his finished product and pleasing his customer. He did both in my case. I know I'll have years of pleasure with my backyard. “Bryan Quinn of One Nature advised me on the planning and design of a wetland improvement project funded through the Natural Resources Conservation Service involving development of two ponds and restoration of native habitats within the surrounding areas comprising about 15 acres.. After evaluating site conditions and laying out an overall conceptual plan for habitat zones, nature trails and observation points, he prepared a detailed plan and specs for planting groves of trees, site maintenance and circulation for areas immediately surrounding the ponds as well as supervision of site work. The work went quickly, on schedule and Mr. Quinn was very professional, generous with time and paid attention to detail, and within budget.”

“LDAW remodeled my pool and plantings for the landscape around the pool. They also designed the plantings for the front of my home. This is an extremely professional organization and I would use them again. Estimates are done by the owner and his drawings will explain exactly what to anticipate. The laborers are on time, reliable and take a lot of pride in their work. The owner is available and will return calls if need be. I cannot see how things could have gone better for both of these large projects for my home.”

“Richard is a very professional personable and well versed landscape artist! I have used Richard to landscape my home, my courtyard, and have recommended his services to my neighbor(used Richard) and friends! Richard has extensive knowlege of perenials, bushes, trees, soil, top dressings, and how best to feature each plant in the garden! He has a very high work ethic and guarantees his work and his plants! Richard will often stop by to check on the plants to see how they are doing and if there is a better location in the garden for the plant, he will replant! Richard's work ethic is superb, and his workers also! Don't hesitate to contact him and see the magic he can perform in your garden for all season color! R Design has a team of Landscape Architects who don't just create exterior spaces, but truly design spaces that tailor the look and function to the desires of the owners and architects. I've worked with Ransom and Ryan on projects from the Caribbean to communities throughout Colorado. I have a strong working relationship with R Design and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great team of Landscape Architects. Although they can design to the specifics of any project aesthetic, they are some of the best when it comes to site planning and modern landscape design.”

“I love Karen's work! She designed a beautiful backyard patio and outdoor space for my house in 2007 and we continue to enjoy it every season. Karen combined blue stone with brick pavers to create a unique design for the patio that included garden spaces for both flowers and vegetables. She also took the need for shade into account and made space for two beautiful cherry trees. A week after the work was done (on time and at cost), we hosted a backyard wedding for a family member-it was a wonderful day which included many compliments about our beautiful backyard. I highly recommend Karen Arent Landscape Architects!”
