“Following the recommendation of a friend, I hired Stephanie Wondolleck and her design firm, SW Design, for a much-needed and long-delayed landscaping project for the front of our home in Marin County, California. Stephanie was very good at figuring out what we would like (given our tastes and cost constraints), even though we were not very sure what we wanted. She did everything she said she would do, including using only deer-resistant plants and bringing the project in on budget and on-time. Meeting the deadlines required careful coordination of various contractors, at which she was very adept. Stephanie is professional, creative, thoughtful--and a pleasure to work with. We would (will) happily and confidently hire her and SW Design again.”

“We worked with Alan (Village Landscape Architecture) to help us with a large corner lot front yard after removing all of our lawn. We wanted drought tolerant plantings that would be a benefit to wildlife, but didn't know where to start. We asked Alan to deliver a plan, in the form of drawings, that we could implement ourselves.
Alan was easy to communicate with and listened carefully to our parameters. Beyond recommending the placement and varieties of plants, Alan drew a plan that also incorporated an inviting addition to our walkway entrance. We loved his creative additions of hardscape which tied back to our love of Mother Nature's natural landscape. We still love the design today - 4 years later.
Alan was easy to work with, a good listener, and provided the deliverable on time. I highly recommend him.”

She patiently listened to our thoughts and concerns, and designed and developed a plan that reflects our lifestyle. We now have expansive outdoor living space that fully suits our needs, including native plant gardens, lawn, horseshoe pit play area, deck/pergola, multiple flights of custom cut flagstone stairs, and a flagstone patio. We benefitted from Sue's design talent and construction experience, as well as her ease in working with contractors. She kept us updated throughout a multi-phased construction process, while providing suggestions and soliciting our input. We highly recommend working with Miller Landscape Architecture.”

When we purchased it, the garden had been neglected and needed refurbishing. Julie returned and gave us a plan that she reviewed with us that had many choices. She also helped engage an excellent landscaper to do the work. The result is a lovely garden with new plants and an excellent blend of the old work and the new work. Julie is creative, very attentive to details, and knows plants and design. She has a terrific eye for color and is a true artist. She is also personable, hands on, and effectively supervised the installation down to the last detail.
