From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“We have worked with Maxalea off and on over 30 years. Two years ago we turned again to Maxalea to do all of our landscaping and maintenance. We did get other estimates and plans first and the costs were all comparable, but we felt much more comfortable knowing Maxalea's service level and reputation. Within the first six months, we had major cleanup and replanting and a drain installed that solved years of drainage issues. We have since had more plantings and are on a yearly contract with Maxalea to do our mowing, monthly maintenance, plantings, etc. They just rebuilt and stabilized a paver wall and terrace that a previous landscaper built incorrectly. We always know when they are coming to do work and they show up on time, do the work, and the yard is spotless when they leave. “We contacted Pinehurst Landscaping Company about six months ago because we wanted to renovate previous landscaping that had been done after our home was built. Despite hiring a professional landscaping company, the trees and bushes that they planted were either too large or too small for the area. Instead of accentuating our new home, the landscaping interfered with the architecture of the house resulting in diminished curb appeal. Even if we didn’t care for a particular choice he had a backup suggestion. After we finalized our plan, we met him at the nursery where we were able to pick out our trees and shrubs. However, the true test was the end result. Ted and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in the time frame he had cited. We were thrilled with the end result. We received many compliments from our neighbors and guests and recommended Pinehurst without hesitation. The cost was reasonable and the quality of work was superb. “I hired this company for tree trimming, moving a fence, building screening walls around equipment, building deck steps, building culvert walls, and general landscape clean up and mulching. The crew members were respectful, worked hard, listened if I had questions, and did an amazing job. One big mistake was made (wrong tree cut), but they were so great about it, I would not dare take anything off their rating for that. Great work. Great prices.”
