“Belle Terre did an outstanding job on the entire landscaping of our new home in Scripps Ranch about 10 years ago. When we moved to Kensington last year we called Janet to help us remodel the landscape and hardscape of our new home. We wanted a low maintenance backyard and wanted to utilize as much of the existing brickwork and trees and plants as possible. She did an outstanding job designing and installing hardscape, a new front courtyard, wrought fencing, new sprinklers and drip lines, brick work, lighting, patio cover and planting. What is most impressive is the quality of the work and the attention to detail. Her entire team of employees are dedicated and very professional. They took the time to dig up many of the existing plants and use them again when the remodel was done. They tied some existing brick work into the new brickwork and it turned out perfectly. “I needed a BBQ island in my backyard. This company designed and built one that is functional as well as unique and innovative in design. I am still getting complements on it over a year later! The project went a little over the scheduled time, but that was because I made several changes during its construction. “Gravel to Gold took on a large hardscaping and landscaping project at our 1940s bungalow in Pacific Beach. The work entailed removal of many truckloads of old grass and debris, and much tedious prep work to lay the foundations of a successful planting plan, including irrigation, LED lighting, and specific "obscuring" objectives. GtoG was the designer and general contractor, with the concrete work sub-ed out to a trusted contractor with many decades of experience. The final product is beyond expectations and was completed in almost exactly the predicted time. GtoG even re-did some of the work that to me was perfect, but that did not meet their very high standards. In the end we paid what we were told the cost would be to within just a few percent (there are always surprises in work like this), but the accuracy with regard to budget and timing is the best I've ever encountered by a wide margin. We would definitely use GtoG again, and in fact we are on our new project, a much bigger remodel of a 1920s Spanish-style house. Highest recommendation.”
