Jessamine was recommended to us by a friend. She had helped them at their house and we had seen what a great result they had. Being utter novices at renovating a house Jessamine was incredibly helpful at first giving us some basic ideas and then fleshing them out. As with all renovations especially when adding new extensions to older buildings taking care to blend the old with the new is important and she did this with skill and care. Our finished plans went through several incarnations with each one carefully explained and adding to the overall concept. New ideas were well integrated and the pros and cons explained. Jessamine had to deal with 2 sets of builders on site due to a separate build that she also helped with. Council approval and amendments were easily worked through making a stressful time much easier to deal with. Being able to call and chat to Jessamine as well as on site meetings made the process understandable and reassuring. Where inevitable building issues arose she was able to coordinate with the builders to make sure the project was kept on track. Overall our experience with Jessamine was excellent and we would highly recommend her for this style of project. If we are to renovate again hers would be the 1st call we would make. Jessamine transformed a derelict house into a delightful country home. Our needs as an older couple were considered and the resulting renovation is a delight to live in. We frequently comment that this is our favourite home.

Jessamine designed a back deck for me and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. This wasn't a simple deck, it had to tie into an existing deck on a level below, which is yet not ground level. And because we have an odd shaped lot, it had work within the council restrictions for setbacks from our neighbours. On top of all of that, I wanted it to look interesting and give me the space and practicality I needed. Being a designer myself, I thought I knew just what it should look like, but Jessamine brought some great new ideas to the project, which improved and enhanced my original ideas. She was professional, did all the work in a timely manner, worked through all the frustrations presented by council and gave my builder a perfect set of plans for a relatively complicated structure. I would not hesitate to recommend Jessamine for any and all projects requiring an architect. And I do so regularly! She has great ideas, a creative approach and is very easy to work with while always getting the job done as timely and on budge as possible.
