We have a very small un-renovated main bathroom with loo, vanity & bath, with a second bathroom for the children which (currently) includes the only shower in the house. We are hoping to renovate the main bathroom soon but feel we are restricted by the window which dominates the only area where a shower could be positioned. We are not able to re-build the window. The wooden joinery includes a sill which jutts out by 8cm. We have decided to do away with the bath and have the best shower we can, but how can we protect the wooden joinery from the shower water/steam? There is not room either side of the window to install a standard pre-cast shower box so we will tile and/or have glass walls on the shower, which will have to be built around the window. I would appreciate any thoughts!
