Simplistic glass or bulky wooden?

Choosing a dining table for our new place. What should I look for..glass or wooden or a stone look?
Pic 1 is how my place looks like (previous owner's furniture)

Wood or glass I think, and if you use an area rug, it needs to extend a couple feet beyond the chairs.

If you love to dust, constantly, go for the glass. Otherwise I'd go for the wood.

I would definitely go with glass given the size of the space and I find it easy to maintain.
