I think we are going to use the white subway tile to keep the budget down as I priced new tiles and it would blow out the budget. Really like the contrast grout idea to add a bit of texture and pattern. My partner is a builder and he loves the reclaimed wood shelf idea as we have a lot of spear old wood left over from the renovation. We have made a dinning table and fire place mantel from it already so it would tie in really well.

@kmkane... The "old thread" comments, at least from ME... aren't for any other reason than letting some contributors know, that the advice they might believe they are giving, may be moot. I know that when I 1st became involved on Houzz, I was glad when someone indicated that I may be addressing a question which had probably been answered months (if not years) ago. Helped me "learn" to check the original posting date before blathering on about an issue someone was no longer interested in.

Hi everyone. I have a design dilemma. In our new compact ensuite we have to have a curved shower (sigh). Our product supplier popped in a square basin, which I'd not thought of but do like, however, I'm worried about a square basin looking odd with a curved shower. Thoughts? Also, before settling on a curved shower, I bought a herringbone mosiac tile for the vanity splashback. Does herringbone still work? Attached are the different design concepts (the actual herringbone tile is much smaller). Thanks for your help.
