Hello Colleebird, We have used glass as flooring and countertops often, especially white because it's so beautiful and illuminating. Amazingly, this material does not stain and is very strong, we've not had issues with cracks or chips. Like marble, it could scratch and would then need to be buffed out. As for the grout lines, it is the same challenge regardless of the material. We lay out tile in a butt joint fashion which means there is a minimal grout line. We then use the best epoxy grout (new lines have come out just for glass) and we carefully seal the entire floor at least twice. This type of installation requires a professional and is more costly but the result is beautiful. thx
Wow! Thank you very much for the information. It was greatly appreciated! I saw a segment on open house ny on Sunday morning and one of the designers used the tile. The designer in the segment said it was popular in Florida which is where the apt was that was showcased. It was magnificent! Btw the bathroom you have in your photo is stunning! Just gorg! Thanks so much again !
