Hi Vicki, this project is more than a decade old so any price I could give you are therefore moot. Also, since pricing varies in the USA by locality and national/international demand I could not begin to say what copper may cost in Australia. It is not an inexpensive option, though. Given that, I would contact a local metal worker and talk to them about your needs, the cost, and availability and the care because copper can patina (darken/take on a color) over time unless it is sealed. You may like how it ages but you need to educate yourself so that you are not taken by surprise. Good luck.
