Thank you! It won us over. The photos don't show it all as there is another stunning mountain range that dominates the view from the front of the house. These photos were taken a couple of years ago when the property was on the market prior to the current vendors purchasing it. We move in next week so will take some more photos then. Thanks.

Looks like you have several things to consider in the layout. What the view out the window ? Do you really want to see more of whats outside? Cooking is always best on the outside wall to get it vented, island cooking is a last resort, downdraft dont work well at all and the island hood is typically obstructive. Looks like the wall should come out to open the space up. Best advice is to have a designer come to your home and see it in person. There are costs associated with every change and it is very difficult to judge just from photos.The design phase is the most important part of any kitchen remodel the builder is only going to install it as the plans layout. Find a great designer that makes house calls :)

Hi Clo. Pinterest is very good, but it's more about photos and not actual information to read. Houzz is a good place, of course, but there are plenty of other good web sources. I have found this article on Google and it has a lot of information on Rustic design (it is also called Country style interior design). You can find there a good read on Provence style as well.
