this is expose staircase connecting Gf to Ff. lotvof space has been wasted .what should be done to look attractive as it separate drawing and family room.

You can also decide on adding some smart storage ideas. Even a library or some shelves would work. This is what one of our customers did with the space under his stairs (the design of the stairs is different though):
