Kitchen colours

I'm struggling to finalise colours for our kitchen renovation. It's a large sunning room. Wooden vinyl strips flooring. Resene 1/2 Truffle on most of the cabinets, Resene Masala on the Island, with suede granite charcoal bench tops, white subway style tile splash back.

im wanting to add a splash of colour... Maybe the window wall of funky wall paper, with the rest of the walls in paint. Here's some pics :)

I think it would be a good idea to give a bit of colour to the kitchen. I am agree with you to choose a wallpaper for the window wall.

There are a lot of wall covering to choose...what is the style that you are looking for? I have a few ideas that maybe can fix very well in the kitchen.

If you have bare walls, then choose colours that won't clash and would tie in wiht the room. Then pick out colours you actually like and pick a favourite. Most everything will go with Grey but contrast is usually more visually pleasing.

Teal sounds beautiful for your splashback, I love vibrant and bright colours in the kitchen - you never see them enough! I think your worries are right as well, dark carpet and a dark bench would be too much darkness - a lighter benchtop would work well with the other colours! Marble is a classic for benchtops, but depending on how you did the wood, it wouldn't look fake at all! What did you decide on doing?

hello were in the process of choosing our kitchen colours for our new build, we've chosen prime stone honed Pukekawa stone as the benchtop, Warm oak timber laminate flooring & black handles & silver chalice carpet (for adjacent dining room) We will be doing all the Cabnitry the same colour. we narrowed down to these 6 colours - anybody got any picks / thought / comments?? Just finalising kitchen colours. Soft Matt black velvet prime laminate which will be the back of the kitchen colour Island will be soft Matt surrender. Marble look prime stone which will also be the splashback I'm just worried about the flooring I've chosen it's meadow cortex ? But is the colour too light? Shall I go darker? Wld love to see other vinyl floors with Matt black ? I have grey Carpet in the lounge area all open plan. Don't wanna stuff it up such a huge investment

I think you have enough colour and textures I would go with a plain white paint to match the subway tiles. As they say Less is more and I think you already have enough going on.

Why don't you add colour with accessories instead of permanently. Eg mugs or bowls on the open shelving, bowl with fresh fruit on the island, or towels, recipe books, etc.
