What you're seeing a sponsored listings and this is one way businesses can use Houzz to reach more potential customers and clients in our local areas.

Your be surprised how many people still do not realise that Houzz contains a directory of high professionals, but I still appreciate the feedback on the placement of these sponsored listings.

Thanks Luke. I understand that professionals need to advertise, but also think that Houzz users are an intelligent enough bunch to find the clearly marked 'professionals' section on your website. I feel that the type of advertising now employed may in fact have the opposite effect with more people than just myself. Perhaps there could be a drop down option tab saying 'I don't want to see this type of advertising' as per facebook?
