Living room floor!

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a modern stone/ light grey tile for my new living room floor. I have porcelanosa polished town niquel in my kitchen which is lovely but a pain to keep clean, so I'm thinking a matt finish instead. I'm really struggling to find anything!

Sorry for the delay I just logged in! Thank you very much, these are fantastic ideas. I love the Paris and London grey limestone. I don't mind if it is natural stone or porcelain, I have polished porcelain already and whilst is it beautiful it is a nightmare to keep shiny and clean so I'm trying to be more practical this time!! I will have a look at your site now. Do you have any favourite stone colour tiles? I like grey but my husband wants it to feel warm. Thank again, Katie

Like your space and choice of green. Like the green in the kitchen you referred us to. Looks a little darker or less yellow than one you did with Photoshop? You have the same issue as many of us, for one reason or another we end up trying to blend two disparate styles. The couches say man's room, formal, brown wood to me. Your room, kitchen and fireplace say much lighter in colors , style and spirit! If you try to blend the two you will end up with neither. Your purchases to go with the couches will just add to things pushing you in a direction you don't appear to want to go! I'd suggest you find some sofa covers, or even bed coverlets if you can't get covers to put over the couches. I like the colors in the fireplace. Please tell us more about what styles you like.

I am planning to add scatter cushions and think if I do a pair of larger ones for each end so they go over the arms to creat height at each end, and a couple of smaller ones, I want to bring some colour in too. I do like the idea of a larger side light at either end to, Switching the sofas is going to be my final fix if all else fails!!

Kitchen Dinner and Living Room or Kitchen and Dining Room?

Hi, We have recently renovated our kitchen, and have had the idea to turn our living room into a dining room. The idea is, that we would have some really comfy chairs and would be able to relax while sitting around the table; so the dining table wouldn't be only for meals. Then rather than having a dining table, we would have a bench with bar stools on the kitchen/living room wall. (nb the wall is load bearing and cannot easily be removed so this isn't an option). The other option is to keep the living room and set it up with a sofa, coffee table and a couple of occasional chairs. Dining wise we would have a smaller dining table in the kitchen. The living room opens on to the lounge which is set up as a TV room. There is also a guest bedroom and bathroom downstairs; the family bedrooms and bathroom is upstairs. We will also have an outdoor dining table in the undercover area outside the kitchen. I look forward to your thoughts and ideas.

You could try Mandarin Stone Mortand Sand, they are rectified porcelain and a lovely matt surface. Also the colour is not too warm but not exactly grey. I am planning on using them in my kitchen and hall and they are on offer at the moment.

Katie, London grey and Paris grey can be warm grey's depending on the sealer that is used. Naturally is has a warmer appearance than porcelain. If the room has warmer tones than the floor it will not be a cold looking room. Luberon is a brown beige natural stone with a hint of grey, not on the yellow side.
