This is a really awkward space! What about trying to build a unit into the corner which seems to be dead space. This could house the television and other bits like dvr,amp etc. The unit could then extend out towards the door in length and in height either up to the start of the window or up to the start of the blinds. I would suggest drawers for toy storage and books above. In this way you leave the windows clear for light plus it looks like you have a pull down screen so the tv would be out of the way of that. This arrangement would also hide all those wires and cables! I was sure there use to be an "add" button . The only issue is that I cant see it anywhere ! Could this be because I was using an android tablet? I did see something about 'getting' marklets ???? Is that the tablet way? edit: I have tried from the laptop and I still cant see the "add" to ideabook button :-(

Hi Jenny, if you go to your Ideabook, click Edit, you will find a button that says Collaborate. You will be able to add email addresses of the people you want to share it with.

Why don't you live in the house for a while and get a feel for things. The curtains are bright but if they are still good quality / newish it would be a very expensive exercise to replace them (I have just spent a few thousand just on three rooms), you can always add a few red cushions or a red toned throw over your existing couch or a rug with a red tones in to it, to tone the red down, if required. Repainting the walls is cheaper than replacing curtains and a piece of art with red tones may also help. As far as furniture is concerned it would depend on what you like style wise. Why not send us a photo after you have moved in. You may find some of your concerns disappear once you are in and settled.
