I think a high wall would work out great. I've heard that soundproofing can be done through insulation so hopefully that deadens the noise.

Live in NZ near Christchurch. Am trying to find an alternative to tile as a wall covering on the walls OUTSIDE of the shower areas. These are already acrylic as did not want to clean grout lines. Has anyone used any of the panel products on the market for covering the whole room? Has anyone found any to replicate LARGE tiles. James Hardie has hardiglaze but the tiles are small . I really like T&G panelling, again seen A Hardie product but would like a narrower width tongue. Also I think up to ceiling will be a bit much........pHowever what height to end it? Are there less ornate dado rails available? The house is a new build and the fittings are contemporary. TIA for helping.

Hi, Both comments above are what I would do. A Roman blind in the same fabric as your main window will tie the two different windows. See the picture, where I had a small window in an awkward space in the dining room, next to a large window. Keeping the same fabric helps continuity where the windows are vastly different sizes.

Hi Linda. The Resene Merino on the walls may make the trims possibly look more creamy. If you intend to paint your trims, doors etc, I usually tell people to use a stark white like Resene Alabaster because if you change your wall colour again at a later date it will still look good. If you know the trim colour let me know. The inspiration picture of white works well because it is broken up by lots of natural textures and materials.
