Hi we are renovating our kitchen and just wanting some opinions about the layout, finishes are not confirmed and it’s pretty rough but you get the idea. the ceiling slopes for the right hand side of the kitchen so trying to figure out how to make it look best. Hi Everyone, I always thought that the standard for ceiling gib in NZ was 13mm. Today we received our plans from a builder and it specifies the use of 10mm for BOTH walls and ceilings. After a quick www search it seems that 13mm ceiling gib is a strong recommendation, not the NZ standard. If you can clarify this, I'd appreciate hearing back, or if you have used 10mm, did it ever sag? Any further advice is appreciated. Cheers Fred.
