There is no discernible wear. Small nicks heal up by themselves. We did not seal our top and we regret it. It is about 15 years old and to the left of the sink we often have a towel for air drying certain hand-washed items. This towel holds moisture against the Marmoleum and the top surface in this area has degraded with the moisture. Where ever moisture is wiped up, it is not a problem. I have clients with 12 year old tops that have been sealed and they look perfect even though they are intense cooks.
