HELP! quartz worktop decision....

Hi, Our kitchen arrives at the end of this week and I have still not made up my mind re which worktop to go for :-/ .... There are lots of threads on here re Silestone Lagoon, and I really like the look of it in completed kitchen photos that are posted here, however, when I saw a small sample this weekend, it looked quite grey and speckled?! The small samples are useless as they do not really seem to give a good idea of pattern repeat and colour. I then saw a larger slab of it and it looked much better. Another one I hear mentioned a lot is snowy Ibiza, but I have not managed to see this one as yet....and finally at the weekend, we saw Technistone Noble, Supreme White... which really did seem much whiter with a nice subtle grey vein, but I am not sure if the quality of the Silestone is much better than the Technistone... does anyone have any experience of any of the three options I am looking at? Any help or advice is always very much appreciated :-)

I should probably have added that the kitchen is an inframe shaker style, the wall units are in a light grey and the island is Hague Blue. Flooring will be wood effect LVT laid in a Herringbone pattern....I have not totally fixed on a colour for this either yet, but will probably be a mid oak, with no orangey tones.

I was looking for a 3 meter x 1.5 meter granite worktop, after hours of searching I came across a surface called Dekton and fell in love with it.

    Hi Sam

We regularly use leading brand Silestone in our kitchen designs as Quartz is a popular choice with many benefits. Silestone offer a 25 year warranty whereas Technistone only offer 10 years. Integrity sinks are also an option with Silestone which are seamless one piece Quartz sinks which blend into the worktops. They have quite a range of light shades including the lagoon and snowy Ibiza, it would be worth making a trip to take a look at all the colours.

Dekton is another product created by Cosentino, which has the added benefit of being completely heat resistant. They also have a good range of colours available in both polished and suede finishes.

    Good luck!

Take a look at Lyra by Silestone, I often supply this and it has a stronger grey veining and looks more like a Carrara marble finish.

Thank you country kitchens, I did look at Lyra, but although I liked it we are looking for a more subtle veining, other half in particular is not a fan of strong veining... he says it looks like blue cheese... *roll eyes* .... a more subtle vein like Lagoon is more of a compromise for domestic harmony ;-)

Hi Sam which worktop did you go for in the end? We are looking at eternal statistic quartz by sole stone to go with our Hague blue units!
