I'd match the white of the door trim and baseboards.

I understand going with the grey since it is an 80's style house. You could also do bright bold colors. I do not know if that is your style. I have attached a quick rendering of the gray scheme you mentioned. I prefer light colors above dark colors. This keeps in theme with the sky and earth. Makes the house seem more grounded. The dark entry also draws your eye to it especially with the light coming from the other side of the house. I have also attached a quick rendering of a blue scheme. Hi, Courtney, thanks for that, I haven't painted yet, we have nearly finished putting in a bathroom. This coming summer we are painting, so at present my choice of colours are a dark grey roof, a warm green (not blue undertone) for main house, a buttermilk trim and a rusty red door? What do you think.

New house build.I need a idea for colour matching trim colour on my house. Out side is corrogated iron walls ánd roof in greyfriars,300mm square posts,front and back are in black,inside is spanish white,trim,walls and ceiling in semi gloss. What I am looking for is a colour for the barge boards,front and rear only,rear wood door surround,internal doors (only two,bedroom and bathroom). Was thinking a gutsy orange? Awaiting your views/thoughts
