Comments (4)Thank you for ideas the room is little dark in day but I love the night effect, we are repainting so could look at half the tone of current colour, the chairs I have in the room are silver. The photo does not reflect this, wonder if gold would be odd the stone sofa has metal legs, the house is 1970 ContempOry but I love to mix old and new, and wanting elegant French look, what type of comfy chairs should I get to match sofa and where would they best fit, do you think the armoire go next to fire.? with our old settee should I keep this single chair but cover it? I wonder if it too bulky? Also the leather chair is brown should I keep this in the room or not. the mirror above chairs is silver and gold frame should I shift it /paint it /leave it and add tall lamp in this ares to make reading corner, and can pull in chairs when have guests? The oak cabinet is a keeper have I got this in the best position, I appreciate all ideas....See Moreneed help with my ceiling and furniture
Comments (11)Thank you all so much many of you suggested darkening the ceiling and leaving the beams the way it is to avoid too much work. What color did you guys had in mind?? isn't a lighter color suppose to open the room? Talianko and Hyde Evans and Shauna? ( I preferably will love a rustic lighter wood look, and the beams but does sound like a mission to get it done as sanding varnish on the ceiling might take me forever but if I get brave enough I might do it Sstar. Brio I do so want those curtains gone they are shocking :)you haven't seen the outdated blue couch yet... but I have to decide in the colors of the walls first :) I am inclined to have a rustic look for furniture... more like farm style and I also like wash off colors...my next vibrant color that i want to add is yolk yellow ( don't roll your eyes that will be in a cushions or a vase a picture) I am very impressed with all your answers and thank you all so much for taking the time to help a girl out :)...See Morestools - can you help identify where they’re from

Quality Materials One of the main benefits of timber furniture is that it is usually made from high-quality materials. This means that your furniture will likely last longer than if made from other materials such as particle board or plastic. In addition, high-quality materials also resist scratches, dents, and other wear and tear better than lower-quality materials, meaning your furniture will retain its original look for longer. 2. Timeless Style Another great benefit of timber furniture is that it never goes out of style. Many trends come and go, but classic timber furniture pieces look chic and elegant. This means that you won’t have to worry about your furniture looking outdated in a few years, and you can save money in the long run by investing in timeless pieces. 3. Versatile Timber furniture is versatile and can be used in indoor and outdoor spaces. Easy to Care For Finally, another benefit of timber furniture is that it is relatively easy to care for compared to other types of furniture. Dusting and polishing your wood furniture regularly will help it maintain its original lustre for many years. In addition, if you scratch or dent your wood furniture, it can often be sanded down and refinished so that it looks new again.
