I love the wall of glass doors in your kitchen, and you have such a peaceful and beautiful view! What about a smaller round glass dining table with a few Ghost chairs for early morning cuppas or when you want something more casual and cosy?

I love the idea of a big ole' farmhouse table and comfortable fabric chairs in your large entry space. An oversize rug on the floor under table and a large feature pendant above.

I think it would be important to include other furnishings such as a sideboard/display cabinet for china, crystal, etc., a couple of additional chairs and a console to serve as drop zone for keys & mail (as it is an entry point), but in a design to complement the dining theme so it looks coordinated, not mismatched. Hope that makes sense.

Some ideas for inspiration:

Include storage in the form of sideboard or similar to keep this room free of any clutter when it's not in use.

What about round glass top with timber legs? The leather chair you posted is very attractive and practical.

Hi, as a styling professional I'd like to suggest an 8 seater round or square dining setting for your family room as there are lots of doors and windows on each wall so moving through the space needs attention and flow without interruption. The space opposite the kitchen can then have a couple of comfy arm chairs, a footstool and small side table, along with a rug. This can be used as a relaxing spot, a place for coffee with visitors or chatting while cooking, or relaxing with a good book after dinner. Very versatile!

What about a long built in bench seat running along the wall in your kitchen with a long skinny table. So you could use it for homework, breakfast etc as an informal nook. But still have a formal dining space in your current family room.

You might consider skylight/s above table ...the room seems dark. This is not necessarily an expensive option. You could do one large one or four smaller ones above the table with space for pendant lighting in between. Consult your builder.
