was glitter grout hard to apply?

I hear that glitter grout is really dry and you have to do small sections at a time. Is this true?

From our experience it was tricker to apply , with the type of tile we used having large grout joints to fill didn't help a lot more grout required , end results worth it though , we would only use glitter grout for a small area feature niche etc
