Facade renovation ideas wanted for 1955 brick home in adelaide

he exterior of our house has bugged me for years. Prev owners rendered and put in sliding aluminium windows and totally ruined any character.We are looking at ways to improve street appeal. And make me love our house exterior. Our interior is renovated and great.Contemplating painting colorbond Gully and painting windows white. Shutters. Paint gutters? Or go all out and clad the exterior? I'm stuck!Ideas?

Hi , I wonder if landscaping might be the answer, including a contemporary flat topped picket fence in either timber or black ( and then pick up the timber or black in the house) . Not sure whereabouts you are in Adelaide but there is a good example of this sort of fence on a lovely house for sale at the moment on Dover St , Malvern.

Without seeing pictures I would say to renovate to original as much as you can.

Reinstate original windows, etc.

Render can be tricky aside from re-paint.

Can clad over it but its expensive to do correctly, it's the extra work required around windows and eaves, etc rather than just installing the cladding over battens which itself it quite quick.

Once a picture or two is uploaded many more suggestions will come forward.

I think you need a new letterbox, or render it to match the house.

Hi, Gully seems to be very dark with your roof . My suggestion is a light grey including the soffits dark grey awnings over the windows in the same colour as your roof . Maybe white guttering and trims.
