We studied a few options that would have provided large pivoting openings to a possible south-facing outdoor terrace. However, a few concerns weighed in on the decision to not have doors to the garden directly from the pool. The first concern was safety because the children were young and we wanted to keep access to the pool to a single door so that it was easier to monitor. The other concern had to do with the mechanical system that would have become more complicated if natural ventilation became a variable.
