What to do with this nook in dining area?
Comments (11)I have a cabinet already should fit there, so did think about that already...maybe I am just having a hard time picturing it. We are designing a 'contemporary' house, so I would say it is fairly modern with touches of older/more vintage pieces. I will take a picture of my cabinet tonight to see what you guys think. But I guess most photos/when I think of buffet cabinet I picture more traditional pieces. If anyone has a more modern take would be great!...See MoreDining room chairs
Comments (3)The chairs are a good match. Leather is probably best, great for kids' spills and accidents, but any fabric will do. Not sure on purple with green - those two colours together clash a bit for me. The green kitchen looks great, and I'm a fan of dark wood. The only thing throwing it off at the moment is the yellowish coloured walls. If they were repainted a soft white, this would make the green and the dark wood really pop, giving you a fresh and sophisticated, calm look which I think would work well. You could then upholster in a green to match the kitchen which would look appealing. Finish it off by some fresh white flowers as accents in the room to draw the eye and you've got a beautifully transformed space with a fabulous feature dining area :)...See MoreWhat is the focal point in my dining room?
Comments (14)Everyone has some valid points and so I would also recommend moving the clock to the kitchen wall and place the wall unit under the mirror. Centre with the table with the additions of some artwork each side if the clock with wooden frames to match the clock. Find a low piece of glass or pottery or a runner to tie in the grey shades. I presume u have a grey lounge suite. Change the lighting as to what was suggested by People Space ARchitects....See MoreColour for Open plan living, dining and kitchen
Comments (0)Hello! I want to buy a navy velvet sofa for my lounge, but confused on how to decorate around it. The space is open plan, will it be over doing if I get (navy) velvet dining chairs and bar stools for kitchen? I want to include pink or yellow with gray and white as part of the theme along with some metallic - like gold/copper/rose gold. Also kitchen will be white with granite benchtop and mirror glass splashback. Where can I try to bring some colour here, maybe the pendant light? Any suggestions please ?...See MoreC P
