For the fireplace inserts go ahead and do the green order a second set of panels that you store that are more neutral. In 10 years or five years you may not like the green anymore. It's possible you won't have access to different colored panels at that time. As for the color I like the ideas of going into those silvers it would coordinate very well with your blue couch and it will pull the blues out of the curtain panels. For the wall coloring use the warm golden color in the drape. There is one piece of the flower that has this color and it will balance the weight of a dark couch. If your room is small don't go too dark in this color. You could use it on the main wall and pick two shades lighter on the other three walls.

Thanks courtney. it's all finished and we love it. We chose a white glass back splash which really helps to brighten up the space. On a sunny day it's so bright I pull the blinds down lol! the photo looks alot colder than it is too. It's taken on my phone so not the best.

Hi Davina, either way would look good, so don't stress about it too much. This is a similar set up to our kitchen and I went with A & B both tiled and haven't regretted it. It looks generous and is more practical. Tiles are best around food prep areas as they are easier to clean than a painted wall ... you think that the splash back is what gets the most dirty but the walls around it get their share of splashes as well. In terms of suggestions for tiles - we went with a white textured subway - boring I know, but classic. Using a darker grey grout to match your bench would look good. I'm wondering about painting my bedroom in Dulux Titirangi which is the darkest sample on the wall. maybe paint the lamps in the soft green on the left. my partner thinks it will make the room too dark, opinions please! the room does have big windows but only gets late afternoon sun.
