How do you determine rug size with sofas?
Comments (4)I agree with Judy M. And at minimum, I prefer that the front feet of both sofas be on the rug. But there are many different configurations that work....See MoreDining room finishing
Comments (6)Beautiful table. I don't particularly like the metal/cane chairs. Too 'light' in appearance. Do you use the chairs by the window? I think they are too close to the table and they are too big in comparison. Could be the angle of the photos though, may look different in real life. I don't think your ceiling is too low to hang a pendant above the table. How do you change the table position? If you only turn it around, you can still keep it centered under a light. If you move it to the wall it's another story of course. The two paintings above the console should be hung lower and I prefer them on one level. You can add table lamps on the console and a floor lamp in the corner between the windows. If you use the two chairs, I would add a table in between and angle the chairs a bit. I'll see if I can find you other dining chair options....See MoreSmall Media/sitting Room
Comments (24)Oh so cool you noticed that we're trying to achieve a french country/industrial look or did we write that somewhere? I've attached some other photos of a bedroom and the foyer (of those we've taken so far), but are absolutely open to suggestions on a "beachy" feel as well or instead of. Although because its a beach house we don't want to go over board on expense and hence keeping what we already have, and just adding personality to it, if you get what we mean. Comments (11)I have a cabinet already should fit there, so did think about that already...maybe I am just having a hard time picturing it. We are designing a 'contemporary' house, so I would say it is fairly modern with touches of older/more vintage pieces. I will take a picture of my cabinet tonight to see what you guys think. But I guess most photos/when I think of buffet cabinet I picture more traditional pieces. If anyone has a more modern take would be great!...See Morebigreader
