A big improvement already! It was very visually cluttered just in front of the doorway.

Personally, I think the pathways into a house's front door should be wide, welcoming and easy to navigate. A path that's too narrow, or overgrown, or with branches encroaching is annoying every single time you enter or leave.
I'd keep the new foliage you've planted quite low, and maybe prune back the lower branches of your tree a little bit? Also perhaps widen the path from the garage to the front door.

I think painting a charcoal colour for your trims and garage door, also window frames would instantly modernise your home, a dark colour with your bricks would look beautiful, plant up garden bed with structural foliage, planters at the front door would look great and give a very stylish look to the entrance, glad you kept the tree

I think the windows date the house moreso than the gutters . As Julie says , go dark for those , the rest falls into place . You could do a light gutter/trim ( any off-white -- I like surfmist as it has a bluish tinge ) with the darker roof and windows , or keep it dark like Monument .

I love bright sunny front doors , but here it isn't seen until you get to within 2 metres , so IMO its less impactful . BUT the door that is noticed is the garage -- so my combo here would be Surfmist , with Monument gutters and windows -- it breaks it up . Monument on the garage would be too heavy , and red, Yellow or Orange would be too much with the bricks , not a fan of Blue or Green with thjose bricks either .

One other combo though , more expensive , would be the lighter trim ( Surfmist gutters and even windows ) with a cedar or Jarrah or similar wooden garage tilt or sectional door -- it's hard to tell in the photo , but the existing door looks like it may be starting to 'swell' a bit in the middle ? If it is , thats the logical fix -- add class and upgrade it and bring in the warmth of wood .

I think having a darker roof and trim , with the brick tone , will look quite smart without being too 'complicated' , but Monument on the garage door as well as the gutters and windows etc , would be too much .

The garage door is lighter than the rest of the trim ( maybe because that butterscotch would be too much there , in much the same way as all Monument would be ? ) so maybe leave as is , maybe go Surfmist there , or timber if the budget is there . The existing door looks to be in good condition seen closer , but not only do I like timber , ther's also the point that those corrugated doors and brick colourings just scream 70's/80's , whereas timber shows you've made an effort to update IMO .

We both agreed not to go dark on the garage door. We recently put a motor of the garage door so we might keep the corrugated doors for a couple years then update in the future. We have also ordered some sample pots of the colours to see what they will look it.
