Painting a silver shower screen frame

We're updating our bathrooms, brass door handles and black tapware. Shower screens are currently the generic silver frame (see photo). To save costs on replacing with frameless screen or black frame, I'm wondering if I can spray paint the frames with a primer and black rust resistant paint?

    If the shower is a standard size, a diy shower screen will not cost much more than the spray cans of paint and primer.

    It’s not hard but everyone’s DIY skills varies. Have a look at the installation instructions on the Bunnings website or the installation videos on YouTube or also on the Bunnings website and see what you think.
