kitchen splashback and handle ideas
I inspected my kitchen cupboards being made this week and am really happy. There will be an accompanying “ wooden” oven and fridge wall which is not pictured but will match the wooden look shadow line under the bench and curved shelving above the cupboards. I am really conflicted with the splash back tile. The designer recommended white kit Kat tiles laid vertically but having looked at them I wasn’t a fan instead thinking of laying a bigger whitish tile vertically. They all just seem a bit bland. Then came across the deeper teal colour and a softer grey green one that I also like. I have attached pictures below. The larger floor tile is on the bottom with the other samples laid out. the bench is a stone laid on the front corner.
Is this planned splashback colour too muchr.My preference is a richness to colour without shouting. Don’t get me started on handles. I’m tempted by brushed nickel curved to match the shelving.
I’d be really grateful for opinions.

Comments (17)Lighting - pendants over the servery bench should be another feature that complements your chosen kitchen surfaces. So whilst I love the copper pendants in picture 1.. They could work depending on the rest of your decor and would be a highlight in a neutral white/timber kitchen = Good! If you choose copper you would complement it with a couple of copper bench top items. These are beautiful! (I collect copper because I love it, my kitchen pendants are silver, I renovated to sell in the next 3-5 years) You will see a picture starting to form in your mind and there is nothing wrong with making a statement with your lighting. I found that when I wasn't sure I would get a very strong sense of what was right and what was wrong for a space, then common sense or passion would determine the outcome! Here are another couple that might work, look her on Houzz under lighting, search pendants, then have fun looking!Timber tones with black or white to complement your cabinets... or Statement white pendants for a bit of quirky fun! Your personality can be reflected in your lighting and accessories creating that point of difference from the predictable white on timber look. Comments (1)Teal sounds beautiful for your splashback, I love vibrant and bright colours in the kitchen - you never see them enough! I think your worries are right as well, dark carpet and a dark bench would be too much darkness - a lighter benchtop would work well with the other colours! 2 years agoWith the dark floor tiles and the beautiful sage/green cupboards, I would go with a lighter undulating tile to give texture not the flat darker sage tile.

2 years agoI'm hoping the floor is the darker tile on left- love dreamers images, if you go the dark green splashback keep it to feature wall. Gold or brass handles
