Should I tile over yellow tongue around an open fire within deck?

I ha a 9m (3 bay)x5m deck. in the far end bay im put in a concrete fire pit with a metal flue. i want as much peice of mind re sparks etc as possible

Is it something similar to this you are installing.
I would get professional advice as to safety when installing on a deck, you could add large concrete tiles around base to catch any falling logs or sparks.

Also any form of tile around fireplace needs to be installed carefully to avoid a tripping accident.
