Before & After: An upsizing family’s Northern Beaches reno

Our clients had been looking to purchase a home for their growing family on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We were engaged from pre-purchase and helped our clients determine possible costs for some substantial remedial work as well as cosmetic upgrades to the home.

Before:

After:

We partnered our clients with the right team of experts to fix a number of urgent remedial issues that included asbestos removal and significant water ingress to ensure their young family was in a safe environment before moving in.

Before:

After:

The original home was stuck in a time warp and left untouched for decades. With the owner's keen eye for detail, we wanted to ensure the house felt more bright and homely whilst making it safe for the young kids. We utilised lots of bright colours in the bathrooms as well as the living areas and staircase which made the space feel bigger and brighter. The main bathroom was the showstopper with a typical Hamptons feel, huge ceilings and a skylight allowing natural light to flood in.

After:

Our clients were thrilled with the end result and are looking forward to spending many years in their new coastal abode.

I like how you kept a few aspects of the old brick but then totally modernised it, making it a lot fresher. Love it!

The bathroom photo I assume is the one you refer to in the story , as the 'main bathroom' ?

The before picture is very dated , and the after is a lot more modern , and the lights are nice -- but thats one of my pet hates -- the lights off ( and a cloudy day too often ) in the 'before' pictures , then a white paint job , every light on , and everyone says the 'after' is a lot lighter and airier !

Theres very little room around the toilet , I'd call it a guest room bathroom ( yes , I presume you only had so much space ) .

I'm guessing a lot of $$$ ( for the whole reno ) to paint lots of things white .

Thank you for the comment. The budget was mostly spent on urgent infrastructure works as the house had major water ingress issues. The whole house was done for under $200k.
