Help with decor of living room

You guys have been amazing in giving advice (recently my hallway) so hoping to get your input.

Our living room is small but cozy. It has a high ceiling and beautiful wooden patio doors. However, the big wall needs something to bring the coherence to the room. Art is the go to, but we’re quite particular about the stuff that we put on the wall, has to have some meaning/attraction (cannot buy canvas print from IKEA etc.)

Because of the placement of the sofa
and the tv (on the other wall, opposite to the doors), the air condition is felt to be asymmetrical/not central. I cannot change that unfortunately, which is enhanced by the very useful floor lamps.

On the left handed corner, there’s a training bike that will need to remain (hidden under the outdoor chairs and cushions).

I’d like to work on the wall and can add some small items to make it look more inviting. I’d keep the sofas/rug/tv bench/coffee table (large items).

Should I add more plants, including tall plants in the left corner to have lush green space? Change floor lamps? And what to do with the wall?

Art is very personal, so choose what you love for your wall, I would remove the clock to another wall, then add artwork that will distract from the off centre a/c , horizontal, 3 or two pieces will work.

First thing move the clock. Agree art is personal, I would never go and purchase a mass produced print from a retailer. I have always purchased paintings with texture and depth.
If you find the right artwork for the room, you will have it forever, and can be taken with you if you ever move home. The idea of a large long painting offset would work well. With a tall plant in the corner near walker to add height to that corner.

It's a rental so buy something that you can take with you that will work in your next home. Just stay with green and white. You may not be able to change the panels, but you could add to them where it can't be seen from the outside. Add white to the outer side of the blue panels. Then get a navy and white throw pillow for the accent on the white sofa.

Some colour in there could be good! Statement artwork or even just some bright cushions - something nice and green on the table could work out well - change in curtains to something other than beige !

I think you are wasting money . I'd leave the columns , do a couple of bi-fold aluminium doors , do a nice leather corner suite , and artwork , a Tv , make it more livable . I'd do a glass balustrade on the small stairs , 3 or 4 creeper type potplants and a couple of 'objects d'art' along the solid balustrade . Do you have another dining room ? If yes , make part of this an office/study ; if no , then a nice table and chairs . Right now , it looks unloved -- make it easier to fall in love with it , and you will !

The print above is just an idea of colours for your painting that I would choose, you can see "into" the printed painting. Some of the printed artwork available can be quite realistic and you have to touch it to check if it is real painting artwork or just a print. It depends on budget as well.

I have noticed that Early Settler have a wonderful range of Printed canvas artwork which is very realistic.
