Such a lovely room, add beautiful lamps, you could add a mirror behind one (or both) bedside tables, this will detract from the a/c, luxury bed linen will give a beautiful look, currently neutrals give a beautiful serene look, a rug under the bed, a beautiful chaise or a small sofa would look stunning, and artwork that you love could create a gorgeous bedroom.

I was worried about the neutrals making it look cold but those tones you have suggested are nice

If you were unsure about neutral, white bedding with sage looks gorgeous, add a light rug, you could add a feature colour to the neutral for more warmth, and find something like this for that curl up with a book and cuppa spot.

Feature Wallpaper Mural on the wall opposite bed would distract the eye from heatpump and add some elegance to the room. A dark floral one would look great. Itl make the room look more inviting and cozy. If you need advise on hanging mural then lets talk!
