need exterior colours

Need to paint exterior of house.
Will be painting the tiled roof eventually as well.
Window frames are aluminium silver

Would like some white /cream ideas thanks and what colour would look good on gable ends/roof tiles.

Our yard has lots of palms

Before painting remove the dated lattice on the gables.

Crisp white with dark roof and trim. Square off the dated round columns.

Googled the karaka tone - consider resene ash - closest to a creamy white when you see it on the exterior. Depending on your house style, (more cottage like) I'd contrast the karaka green with a near white tone rather than a khaki tone. More modern, more khaki.

A green roof pairs well with gray and white homes. For a subtler look, pair a green roof with a siding in a lighter shade of green. I think you are on the right track .You have chosen harmonious shades . New paint doesn't have to match existing colors, but it should harmonize. Some general tips are- Green roof - Gray, green, or white house colors. You could use a dash of yellow also.

This just popped up , but I see it is quite old . Did you decide on paint colours ? The roof looks almost a brown tone in the photos , but you say it is dark grey . I assume you don't want to paint that ? If you do , go more charcoal IMO . If you don't , I'm assumimg it will look several shades darker with your wall colour choices . There is a roller door on the garage that appears to be a nice shade of orangey yellow . Personally , I would go with your colour choices , but do all the doors ( roller doors , wooden doors ) and gutterings in that ochre shade . Your terrace I would do in a charcoal , but with the top rail either in the orangey yellow , or a really crisp white . I know that sounds a bit 70's ( although they would have added a lot of ranch brown back then haha ! ) but against the light grey I suspect it would work together well , and look the part .

Definite improvement over the purple! Don't know what it's like elsewhere, but this colour scheme is very popular in our area. A shame really, it's getting a tad "over-used" and leans a bit to the monotonous/depressing side when there's too much of it. A few houses, fine - too many, not so good.

Love dreamers idea, a light roof would work also, by removing the lattice it will instantly modernise the look, instead of trimming your two front trees at entrance, let them weep a little more to soften the look and blend in with your palms.

White walls would look great, however your windows appear to be aluminium in a silver/ soft grey, so wouldn’t have the same look as in above photos. The lighter colour roof would look good on a steel roof, but tiles don’t look right in the lighter colours, so would recommend doing something in a dark grey like monument to complement your windows. The dark trim on dreamers photo would look great on the posts and fascia’s with white gables. I agree you should definitely remove the lattice.

I do love this white tiled roof on a Brisbane house, but I love monument as well.
