I am renovating the kitchen/diner/lounge in my apartment. I chose engineered oak flooring, plus a thick underlay with excellent soundproofing properties. Measuring up today with the kitchen company and the flooring company, there was a hearty debate about whether to 1) lay the flooring first and kitchen cabinetry after, or 2) cabinetry installed first, and the flooring around it. Hi, we are looking at a white and grey kitchen where the main part of the kitchen would be a white satin finish, and our double pantries on one wall would be a light grey matt finish. i want to know if this is unusual to have two types of finishes within the kitchen ie satin and matt? we have no high cabinets, all the white is low and the grey is on one wall with two pantries and the fridge cabintery.
