A recent bathtub and tile surround replacement project involving the installation of the beautiful Redblock stainless steel shower niche (courtesy of SKG Renovations).

I am trying to source (in New Zealand) a shower tray which will fit into my alcove Sized 1900x1000 for the shower. Thus far for that size (and I have searched online and in merchants) found only tiled over solution to completely cover floor space. Not totally happy to have this as feel that tiles will be slippery when wet. Whereas have found smaller acrylic trays that are described as non slip even tho they are smooth. Can anyone suggest a supplier that they have used for trays and hinged/pivot doors of the size I require? Or if place a shorter acrylic tray to the length (probably 1200mm) of the glass wall, as will create a walkin with what do I cover the remaining 700mm of the alcove floor? The bathroom floor will not be any kind of tile, more likely to be a textured vinyl plank.

We are renovating our bathroom which is a 1925 character home. The floorboards in the bathroom are original native timber, which we are keeping. We are removing the bath and installing a shower. Three shower walls will be tiled - not sure whether to go with a tiled shower base/floor or a pre-made one.

I have to ask, do you really need that bath when you have such a tight space? Unless you have tiny children (and remember that's a temporary situation!,) I suggest a larger walk in shower e.g. 1200 x 800 and heated towel rail on the wall nearer the window so its more convenient. Would definitely keep the double vanity for those busy mornings with storage under and you could add mirror fronted cabinet recessed into the wall above the basins to add more storage.
