I like the tiles. Have you considered doing a darker grey floor. Then your feature wall will pop more. Timber vanity will room the space.

But We already purchased enough floors and wall tile and as we feel like going same colour everywhere to keep it looking less busy but want to add texture tile somewhere or a feature… do you think thoughs tiles work ? I like the timber vanity maybe… to add a form of earthy tones to the space

Yeah, I think the tile takes away the interest in the big tile.

The only thing we have gone for a separate Shower so the vanity is now beside the bath. Will the Timber look too much next to the inset bath etc And the vanity is only 750 mm

With the floor and benchtop I think the feature behind bath will be great and add it to shower niche too. Keep the vanity flat if you do those tiles.

The small tile feature look was popular 8 to 12 years ago but is dated now.

Thoughts on vanity size… this is update of room…. Looking at photo and the space in the room… aesthetically would a 600mm vanity look better ? maybe make the room feel more spacious and so I can have a gap next to inset bath wall?

The Original plan is to do vanity 750mm but with no gap next to bath so will be right up next to inset bath wall. ?

It works better for the room otherwise the bathroom door opens into shower door and it’s awkward…

We decided Not doing a feature tile

Well, we really like it. It’s still 900 x 900. It opens up the room a touch so if you have to go wash your hands in the vanity the walk space is good. previously our shower was exactly as you described and it was awkward even when cleaning the shower it was awkward and boxed off the room in the doorway.

Is the bath going to be heavily used by splashy kids? If so and you go for flush against the bath you’ll need to check that the side of the vanity can withstand daily wetness.

It is a very tight shower. I have 900x900 square in my ensuite and I’d hate to take a chunk out of it.

It works for us, it works for the size of room. It is also proportional for the size of house and room.

It Solid brick single storey unit group of 2 and it’s not our forever home so we are really happy.

We knocked out an internal brick walls in kitchen to make an open plan living and cut new door way for laundry door and it was a big job.

And didn’t want to do that for external wall. To find the matching bricks etc and windows etc and it’s not our forever home so we are happy with how it’s working out.
