You answered your own question. Unless you want to tile behind range hood then it goes in first as well as bench top.. the tiles seal the gaps to the wall

It’s an integrated range hood. So, better to tile first ?

If it’s integrated won’t you be tiling to the bottom of the cabinets. The range hood should be flush with the bottom of the cabinetry once installed. Tiling is usually after and there is usually a part tile either at the top or bottom, sometimes both depending on the tile. If you have a preference talk to your tiler.

I would be tiling first so the range hood can sit to the top of the tiles

Hi Big reader. Yes, the idea would be to tile up to the bottom of the cabinets. I thought if the rangehood comes later, it would sit flush?

Do you have pic of what you mean about the part tile top/bottom?

Talk to your cabinet maker. How did they design the cabinet to house the range hood

There are cabinets above to house the integrated rangehood (sorry the pic cuts out half - you can see the tip of the bottom of them) .Inside the cabinet there holes for the flue to run and on the perimeter base of the cabinet is a frame in which the rangehood sits.

Then I expect the tiles will hit the cabinet frame not the range hood so fine to tile

Best to tile first as the range being 900 when the wall from window to corner is wider.

You should be able to tile right up to the wall unit and the range hood should sit within that unit.

What’s the gap between the bench and the cabinetry? It’s normally about 650mm and that will be awkward spacing for the tiles you’ve chosen.

We install the wall cabinets for the integrated rangehood first, then tile up to the underside of the cabinets. Yes, it does get tricky getting your height right, but if you have the tile size and know your grout gap then it's just math. This way ensures the kitchen installers are all done, not having to come back after the tiler. Just a thought, if you're doing full DIY then it probably doesn't matter the order.
