Sheers pleat matching main curtain???

Hi,
We are currently in the process of deciding pleat type and hardware for our very large bedroom windows. Fabric is going to be a soft mid weight Belgian linen for the main curtain and a looser weave vertical stripe linen as a sheer.
Question 1: should the pleat style of the sheer match the main curtain, or does it not matter (would prefer not to use as much fullness on the sheer)
Question 2: which pleat do you think is best for hiding the hardware (ie, on a track, not attached to rings). I love inverted box pleat, but maybe I only like it when it is attached to exposed curtain rings, feels a bit harsh or something when just ends by itself. We are taking curtain right up to the ceiling but have no moulding, just square finish with ceiling.

Other views of the room. Stripe fabric forming "temp curtain" is fabric for sheers but will be running vertical.

All sounds good to meI love inverted boxpleat. Would suggest you stick with pleats for your main curtains but try not to get too busy with the sheers and keep them plain if possible. Examples of what you are thinking about would hel;p
