floors
There are four main types of hardwood floor finishes: matte, satin, semi-gloss, and glossy (from least shiny to most shiny). The floor finish in this project is satin, which has some sheen, but doesn't look too glossy. Satin and matte finishes are popular in contemporary and transitional designs because they tend to show less dirt and scratches, and are a bit easier to clean.
boring! no character to the floors...hoping not to have this as end result; Minwax stain. 1/2 Special Walnut, 1/2 Dark Walnut. 3 coats of satin poly. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes
