Wanamaker exterior
Steam shower notes; Steam shower size is 39" X 5.5 feet which seems good for two people plus space so don't open door into running water. Note all surfaces slanted to drain: ceiling and floor but also the upper and lower ledge as step in that are above and below door. Place steam spigot away from where feet showering so don't get burned.
**Rooftop fireplace and deck in location that gives us at least one private outside space, where away from rental neighbors in neighboring 3rd floor units. View of National Cathedral or downtown would be nice. If deck on 3rd floor, then may still be visible from other 3rd floor apartments surrounding? Should we put on 4th floor. 4th floor allowed stairwell and deck, nothing more, but could hide in center of attic.
**Green house on N side for contextual planning. The white house boarded up is ours :). What a beauty :). We do want our house to fit in to street and neighborhood. It's current shape and height seems good.
**Yellow house is our neighbor on south side for context
**K Line Homes mix of traditional building with mod furnishings and Windows. Lots of light.
**Pic from K Line homes in Ashburn, VA, designed by Piet Boon. Love mix of traditional wainscoting with clean, modern lines. Note 12' first floor with custom dark 10' doors throughout.
**Nice rear exterior, could see if garage/play/patio on ground floor and dining room/smaller patio off second floor. In general columns seem like trying to hard, but these seems substantial and good mix of modern/clean with traditional.
**Nice exterior but don't really like arched windows. All windows should be square or rectangular. Do like Federalist trim along top.
**Exterior Chicago brownstone - classic walk-up
**Substantial and traditional even exaggerated crown molding and wainscoting. One foot tall baseboards. Looks fine mixed with modern other features.
**Giant mud and laundry room. Laundry room has ample space for basket for each kids clothes, and baskets for dirty clothes, need drying racks too, doesn't feel cluttered. Need lots of space in mud for jackets and shoes to be out of sight.
**Want glass or unobtrusive metal; no ornate spindles and prob not wood for banister
**45"wide Stages Sink has shallow second bowl to dry dishes down in out of sight.
**Tray ceilings nice in master and living room. Coffered ceilings nice in great room. Maybe develop sitting area in master more so curtains could separate. Then master sleeping area more quiet without direct access to Windows? Can always do heavy sound proofing drapes too I guess.
**Huge well organized butlers pantry. But also need a plain countertop for blender, toaster, coffee pot, and rice cooker to be out and ready to use but hidden in pantry
**Chicago exterior
**Nice colored brick, nice beveled Windows, good option for exterior style, really love for exterior look
**Beveled glass for entry or interior window
**Glass and drywall balcony. What if we make the dining room 2-story high, this would give light to kitchen. Would move Master bath and have loft space where Christian's office is now. But where put christian's office?
