This medium sized bathroom had ample space to create a luxurious bathroom for this young professional couple with 3 young children. My clients really wanted a place to unplug and relax where they could retreat and recharge. New cabinets were a must with customized interiors to reduce cluttered counter tops and make morning routines easier and more organized. We selected Hale Navy for the painted finish with an upscale recessed panel door. Honey bronze hardware is a nice contrast to the navy paint instead of an expected brushed silver. For storage, a grooming center to organize hair dryer, curling iron and brushes keeps everything in place for morning routines. On the opposite, a pull-out organizer outfitted with trays for smaller personal items keeps everything at the fingertips. I included a pull-out hamper to keep laundry and towels off the floor. Another design detail I like to include is drawers in the sink cabinets. It is much better to have drawers notched for the plumbing when organizing bathroom products instead of filling up a large base cabinet. The room already had beautiful windows and was bathed in naturel light from an existing skylight. I enhanced the natural lighting with some recessed can lights, a light in the shower as well as sconces around the mirrored medicine cabinets. The best thing about the medicine cabinets is not only the additional storage but when both doors are opened you can see the back of your head. The inside of the cabinet doors are mirrored. Honey Bronze sconces are perfect lighting at the vanity for makeup and shaving. A larger shower for my very tall client with a built-in bench was a priority for this bathroom. I recommend stream showers whenever designing a bathroom and my client loved the idea of that feature as a surprise for his wife. Steam adds to the wellness and health aspect of any good bathroom design. We were able to access a small closet space just behind the shower a perfect spot for the steam unit. In addition to the steam, a handheld shower is another “standard” item in our shower designs. I like to locate these near a bench so you can sit while you target sore shoulder and back muscles. Another benefit is cleanability of the shower walls and being able to take a quick shower without getting your hair wet. The slide bar is just the thing to accommodate different heights. For Mrs. a tub for soaking and relaxing were the main ingredients required for this remodel. Here I specified a Bain Ultra freestanding tub complete with air massage, chromatherapy and a heated back rest. The tub filer is floor mounted and adds another element of elegance to the bath. I located the tub in a bay window so the bather can enjoy the beautiful view out of the window. It is also a great way to relax after a round of golf. Either way, both of my clients can enjoy the benefits of this tub. The tiles selected for the shower and the lower walls of the bathroom are a slightly oversized subway tile in a clean and bright white. The floors are a 12x24 porcelain marble. The shower floor features a flat cut marble pebble tile. Behind the vanity the wall is tiled with Zellage tile in a herringbone pattern. The colors of the tile connect all the colors used in the bath. The final touches of elegance and luxury to complete our design, the soft lilac paint on the walls, the mix of metal materials on the faucets, cabinet hardware, lighting and yes, an oversized heated towel warmer complete with robe hooks. This truly is a space for rejuvenation and wellness.

SDI's design of this Mclean guest bath included modern finishes in a striking classic black & white palette. Everything is new including the new tile shower, black hexagonal tile flooring white floating vanity, matte black fixtures, LED lighted mirror, and recessed medicine cabinet.

The master bathroom features custom cabinetry made by hand with drawers that are enclosed around the plumbing. The large shower is made from carrera marble and marlow glossy tile in smoke. The carrera marble flooring features a wide basket weave patern with a smoky gray and black dot. The toilet is also upgraded to a bidet.

Mirrors are placed artfully to increase brightness and conceal the cabinets interior storage.

This shower design features large format Firenze marble tile from #thetileshop, #Kohler purist fixtures and a custom made shower pan recessed into the concrete slab to create a one of a kind zero curb shower. Featuring a herringbone mosaic marble for the shower floor, custom bench with quartz top to match the vanity, recessed shampoo niche with matching pencil edging and an extended glass surround, you feel the difference from basic economy to first class when you step into this space ✈️ The Kohler Purist shower system consists of a ceiling mounted rain head, handheld wand sprayer and wall mounted shower head that features innovative Katalyst air-induction technology, which efficiently mixes air and water to produce large water droplets and deliver a powerful, thoroughly drenching overhead shower experience, simulating the soaking deluge of a warm summer downpour. We love the vibrant brushed bronze finish on these fixtures as it brings out the sultry effect in the bathroom and when paired with classic marble it adds a clean, minimal feel whilst also being the showstopper of the space ?

Welcome to the Grove Street Master Bathroom Wellness Retreat. We designed this bathroom with the Lotus being the center of the design. The clients did not care for a tub in this bathroom, so we constructed a spacious full shower instead, with a niche and bench that is tiled in a beautiful sage green tile arranged in a vertical stack pattern. These colors and patterns fit in seamlessly with the Mid-Century Modern style! When designing the vanity, the clients opted for a more modern look by choosing a floating vanity, meaning the cabinets hang off the wall and do not touch the ground. The cabinet doors are a slab style, which means there is no paneling or decoration of any kind; which is another very modern touch. The vanity was made of maple wood and was finished in a warm golden stain. The vanity was topped with a stunning sparkling white flecked quartz with a 3-inch edge cap, which gives the illusion of a much thicker countertop. This bathroom also included a Japanese-style toilet, with features such as a seat warmer and bidet. To illuminate the space further, we installed two recessed can lights in addition to spectacular globe-shaped vanity lights- which is a key element in Mid-Century Modern design. Now, to finish out the space! We installed stunning marble-look hexagon tiles for the bathroom and shower floors and opted for striking champagne bronze fixtures to complete this Mid-Century Modern aesthetic.

Inspired by ancient Roman baths and the clients’ love for exotic onyx, this entire space was transformed into a luxe spa oasis using traditional architectural elements, onyx, marble, warm woods and exquisite lighting. A builder basic master bathroom was totally reimagined with a new layout and luxurious new materials and finishes. We moved the shower to where the original commode was. The tub where the double vanity was and the vanity where the shower was. A second closet in the bathroom made way for the new commode area. We clad the walls and ceiling in panel mouldings and painted the walls a deep gray. A beautiful scenic wallpaper becomes a focal point at the free-standing tub. The light fixture ties it in. We used porcelain for the vanity top and bookmatched in the shower. The vanity is a gorgeous custom walnut piece
