The left side of the floor plan contains the serene master suite, with an oversized master bath, large walk-in closet and 16 by 18-foot master bedroom that includes a large picture window that lets in maximum light and is perfect for capturing nearby views. Relax with a cup of morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the nearby covered patio, which can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. Upstairs, an additional 900 square feet includes two 11 by 14-foot upper bedrooms with bath and closet and a an approximately 700 square foot guest suite over the garage that includes a relaxing sitting area, galley kitchen and bath, perfect for guests or in-laws.

Continuing with the contemporary art theme seen throughout the home, this luxe master bathroom remodel was the second phase in a full condo remodel in NW Portland. Features such as colorful wallpaper, wall-mounted washlet toilet and sink faucet, floating vanity with strip lighting underneath, marble-look quartz counters, and large-format porcelain tile all make this small space feel much larger. For a touch of flair and function, the bathroom features a fun, hot pink sink faucet, strategically placed art niche, and custom cabinetry for optimal storage. It was also important to our client to create a home where she could have accessibility while aging. We added features like a curb-less shower, shower seat, grab bars, and ample lighting so the space will continue to meet her needs for many years to come.

While the bathroom has plenty of space, the clients wanted to update they style to better suit their tastes and capture the ocean and sky views. We removed a water closet from the outside wall that obstructed views (far end) also allowing the vanity mirrors to reflect the spectacular view. Our clients had updated almost every room in the house, except their upstairs Jack and Jill bathroom that was shared by two of their daughters. They wanted a timeless, classic look and feel, to match the rest of the house. The walls were painted Pearl Gray, which were perfect with the Carrara marble white hexagon tumbled marble mosaic floor tile. Classic white ceramic subway tile was installed on the shower walls and on the vanity backsplashes. Stylish 3-light satin nickel contemporary lights were hung over each vanity with a beautiful Charleston brushed nickel 13 ½” ceiling light was installed in the shower area, giving the perfect bit of light and a little bling to these girls new classic bathroom. In this master bathroom renovation, a Crema Marfil marble was selected for the floor and tub deck, as the movement of the tile was complementary to that in the existing Alabaster tile used for the shower walls. With continuity in mind, Crema Marfil was also selected for the vanity tops and a mocha glazed, canvas finish was specified for the vanities themselves. By choosing a rich, neutral color for the walls, the designer ensured that the cream and brown tones in all the materials would appear dominant, unifying those materials and giving the room a warm, relaxing feel.
