This guest bath was remodeled to provide a shared bathroom for two growing boys. The dark blue gray vanity adds a masculine touch while double sinks and mirrors provide each boy with his own space. A tall custom linen cabinet in the shower area provides plenty of storage for towels and bath sundries, while a handy pullout hamper on the bottom keeps the area tidy. Classic white subway tile is repeated in the tub shower and on the vanity accent wall. Marble look porcelain floor tile picks up the gray color of the vanity and provides a beautiful and durable floor surface.

Professional bathroom remodel

Located withing an existing mid-century ranch house, we completely redesigned two existing small and dark interior spaces – a master bedroom and master bath. In the master bedroom we added a coffered ceiling and opened the view to the rearyard with a pair of black contemporary patio doors, which illuminate the space with natural light. In the master bath, we took an existing inefficient space and made it larger by eliminating interior walls and relocating all the existing plumbing fixtures. Because we were restricted with the existing footprint, we combined the free standing tub and shower within the same space – know as the “Shub”. The accent wall behind the free standing tub uses a white tile which mimicks ocean waves. Opposite the “Shub” we designed a free floating dual vanity and added a casement window to have a view of the rearyard. The new space is defined with clean crisp modern lines of the tile and plumbing fixtures

The original master bathroom was poorly designed with an open alcove to the master bedroom, a separate space for the toilet and shower and a medium size walk-in closet. The new master bathroom was transformed to an open concept with a combination of a large walk-in shower and free-standing tub, cooler color scheme that included the white shaker double vanity, quartz countertop, large glass framed wall mirror, honey bronze finish bathroom fixtures and accessories, beautiful wall sconces, and a toilet. The combination of large subway wall tile, arabesque tile for the accent wall and large floor tile were incorporated in the bathroom design. The walk-in shower was separated with a large frameless glass panels and door. A smaller walk-in closet was proposed to enlarge the bathroom. Designed by Fiallo Design and built by Buildewell.
